Sailing area Bays

We travel from bay to bay along the Croatian Adriatic coast, spending each evening anchored in a bay, moored to a buoy or in a marina.

Duration 7 days

Saturday to Saturday. We will sail for six full days in total. Saturdays are partly for arrival and departure. The exam takes place on Friday.

We start from various destinations:

Biograd na Moru: The Croatian coast, with its countless islands, is the perfect place to take your training cruise. Sheltered bays and azure waters provide safety and variety. The weather is warm and sunny in summer, with reliable thermal winds.

Crew max. 6 persons

With a small crew, you will have plenty of time to practice, and you will receive intensive personal support and exam preparation.

License ICC coastal

From zero to sailing! In just one week, you'll learn everything you need to know about sailing: theory, yacht handling and maneuvers. Best of all, you'll even earn your sailing license.

Adventure An unforgettable time on board

A week full of new experiences, team spirit and shared adventures. You will get to know exciting people and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Accommodation 7 nights in double cabins

Accommodation directly on the yacht in cozy double cabins. This means you are right in the middle of the action and part of the crew and life on board.

Bed linen Sheets and towel

Blanket, pillow, sheets and two towels are included. All you need is an additional beach towel.

Final cleaning Included

Final cleaning is included.

Dinghy With outboard engine

A motorised dinghy is available for shore excursions to nearby bays and for collecting fresh bread for breakfast.

Board Communal cooking

Vegetarian dishes and non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price. We cook together using great recipes, organise the traditional mooring drink, and there are opportunities to buy fresh fish from fishermen. Everyone takes turns to cook, which is a meditative and creative experience, and an authentic part of crew life.

Hot drinks Coffee & Tea

We always have freshly ground coffee from the AeroPress and English tea on hand to help you wake up, stay awake and warm up.

Snacks Fruit, sweet & savory

Fruit, snacks, sweets and muesli bars are available to provide an energy boost during prolonged learning, manoeuvring or navigation.

Training

Staff Qualified skipper

Your experienced training skipper will guide you throughout the week. They will accompany you in practice and theory, and have the relevant qualifications (coastal or offshore) and lots of patience.

Practical experience Time at the helm

From your first time at the helm to independent manoeuvres, you will gain real experience with a large sailing yacht from day one. You will practise all the manoeuvres relevant to the exam, such as steering, mooring and rescue manoeuvres, and you will cover many miles at the helm — always adapting to the weather and crew.

Theory Directly on board

Learn all the theory directly on board and put it into practice immediately. Topics include navigation, ship handling and traffic rules.

Safety Equipment & safety instruction

Of course, the package includes certified rescue equipment, safety technology, first aid equipment and detailed safety instructions. This allows you to focus entirely on learning and prepare directly for the exam!

Sea charts Navigation

The course provides all the navigation materials you need to pass the exam, including map sections, a navigation square, and compasses.

App Exam questions & solutions

Get access to the Manatee app, which contains all the official exam questions. You can complete these as an interactive quiz and access learning aids designed to help foreign language speakers. This is ideal for structured learning and revision. The app also contains illustrated solutions to all navigation tasks.

Confirmation of nautical miles Miles traveled

We will confirm the distance you have sailed. Your personal mileage logbook is not only a great memento, but also confirms your experience to charter companies. It is also the basis for further certificates, such as the coastal license (SKS).

Exam Examination fee

The official German international certificate for operators of pleasure craft for coastal waters (“Sportbootführerschein See”) examination is conducted by the DSV examination board. The examination fee is included.
